Reproducing a popular exhibit for a bilingual and self-guided experience

Sportsology

Sportsology is a 6,500-square-foot permanent exhibition that opened at the Science Museum of Minnesota in 2017. Based on an exhibit developed for the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, the team reproduced the anchor experiences, broadened the content, developed new components, and made the exhibit bilingual.

 

As the graphic designer on this project, Sarah was tasked with refreshing all the existing graphics and creating new ones. Every label had to be rethought in order to accommodate the second language. She took the opportunity to finesse the label hierarchy, choose new fonts, and refine the color palette. Sarah also designed the new logo.
